4th Of July Fun!

On the 4th of July we joined the Archibald crew to watch the fireworks show in Green River. It was a pretty good show. I talked with Aiden a little bit earlier that day about why we get to celebrate our independence. Of course he doesn't understand the entirety of it all at four but he knows enough to bless the "military peoples" in his prayers. We are so grateful to those who defend our freedoms on a daily basis and to their families that support them in doing so.

Our Beloved Girl Millie

Our German Shepard/Husky "Millie" had been struggling for a couple of months prior to us moving to our new house. She was an old lady and her back end was really starting to bother her. On July 2nd we had to put her to sleep and it was one of the saddest days for our family. She was an incredible friend and pet and we couldn't have loved her more. In her younger days she never left Rob's side. She went anywhere and everywhere with him and he was her whole world. It killed her to become less active. She was spoiled rotten and lead a great life. She will be forever in our hearts and will be missed so very much.

The Parade Princess

On June 25th our niece Emmie danced in the Flaming Gorge Days Parade. Aiden was in Kemmerer with my mom and Rob was at work so I had planned on painting for the day. I walked down the street when I first got to the house and didn't see her so I figured I missed her or she hadn't come quite yet. I did a couple of things around the house and decided to walk down one last time before I poured paint and low and behold I saw her little orange tutu all the way down the street. I grabbed the camera and walked with her for a bit. She is quite the performer.

Painting, Painting, Painting

We had absolutely no idea how big of a project it would be to paint 8 rooms real quick in our new house until we tried. Rob and I painted for days and days and days. My mom and sister Rhiannon helped us prep and tape and then my mom took Aiden for us thank goodness and we got 6 of the 8 done before we moved in. We love our house because it was built in 1920 and the large baseboards and trim are great, until we had to paint them all that is.

Trip to New Mexico

On June 17th we loaded up after Rob got home from work and headed to New Mexico. We drove all night long and pulled in around 5 a.m.. Great Grandma "D" needed some things taken care of on the property and we needed to haul back a load of Granny Suzy's things. It was quite the trip. We worked our tails off and drove home on Monday excited that Granny Suzy would head our way the 1st of July.

Trip To Colorado

On June 11th we took a quick trip to Colorado. We always love to go see our friends. Aiden had tons of fun with the Underwood crew, got to spend a day with Strider, and had some bath time fun with Colin. And we all got to meet Mickey and Lauren's newest edition, William. Pictures just didn't do him justice. We miss Fort Collins so very much. Maybe someday we will be able to go back there to live.
