New Year's Eve

This year for New Year's Eve we headed to Colorado. The roads were not good and we got stuck in Laramie for a bit. We finally made it and spent the night with the Underwood crew. The kids had too much fun, as usual. And we adults had a little fun of our own. My camera of course spent New Year's Eve in the car, go figure. On New Year's Day we headed to the Corley's house for Heide's 40th birthday party. A friend of hers had an amazing cake made. We also got to visit with some tattoo convention friends that flew out: Cap, Sara, and Samantha. Then it was in the car and back home. We never have enough time to make the rounds that we want to, which is a bummer. On our trip home we saw a huge elk herd coming down a pass. There had to have been 70+ head. All of the bucks were spread throughout the herd pushing the cows and calf's down a ridge. Unfortunately just as we started taking pictures, a highway patrolman pulled up behind us and waved us on our way. We were so sad that we only got a couple of pictures and that we couldn't watch them for longer.

Santa Came!

On Christmas morning Aiden was really excited that he had, obviously, made it on the good list. And even though it may have been down to the last second it was quite the accomplishment for him. We all spent the day playing the Wii and took a nice afternoon nap. We love having uninterrupted time with Aiden, and no agenda!

Christmas Eve

Aidens friend, Ava from Christy's house, gave him some reindeer dust to sprinkle outside on Christmas Eve. He decided the reindeer would see it best if it was out front. We opened our one Christmas Eve present, which was new Christmas jammies for everyone. Aiden got the treats for the reindeer and the cookies and milk ready for Santa. He put on his "good list" sticker that came with his Santa letter and was off to bed.

Trip to Kemmerer

On December 23rd we headed over to Kemmerer to drop off gifts and visit with everyone. On Thursday evening we hung out at Grandpa Randy and Grandma Leslie's house. We spent the night at Grandma Janie and Grandpa Darrell's house and played a reindeer toss game that was quite entertaining. Friday morning we went to Grandma Yorgi's house to make her breakfast. We came back home that afternoon to get ready for the very much anticipated Christmas Eve.

Playing in the Snow

Snow, snow, and more snow. We shovel it off of the driveway and Aiden throws it back on!

The Maybe List

On December 16th, Aiden had a message left for him from an elf on my cell phone. He was informed that he was on the maybe list, which meant that he wasn't on the naughty list but he wasn't on the nice list either. The elf told him that a letter from Santa letting him know what to do was on its way. Sure enough a letter arrived days later from The Santa Clause House in North Pole, Alaska. Santa wrote Aiden a letter encouraging him to be a good listener. Aiden vowed to work extra hard so that when Santa checked his good list for the last time he would be on it.
