Tina's Farewell BBQ

On the evening of May 26th, we had a farewell BBQ for our building principal Tina. I was nominated to make her a candy card as the centerpiece. She was force transfered to Rock Springs Junior High. Our entire staff is pretty devastated. I'm not because the junior high is my building too, so I get to keep her.

Last Preschool Party Of The Year

On May 26th, Aiden had his last preschool party of the year. We feel good about the decision we have made to keep him out of Kindergarten another year. He will do preschool with Miss MerLee again next year and will be at Christy's as well. Academically he is ready to go but emotionally and maturity wise not so much. He is an only child, and unfortunately he acts like one. Everyone that we talk to who held their boys out a year say it's the best decision they could have made. We want him to be able to be a little boy just one more year.

Lex's Graduation

Alexus Park graduated from high school on May 24th. So crazy. I remember staying in Lander with my sister to watch her for the summer when she was like 5 months old. She is such a great kid and we are excited to watch her enter adulthood, and all the fun and not so fun stuff that comes with it. Rhiannon, Makayla, Emmie, and I drove to the ceremony together. We left all of the boys at home. Lex's graduating class was huge so they held it at the college. They had actually split the class in half so we only saw 350 of them walk, only. It was a late night, but so worth the trip. Congrats Lex!!!!

Trip to Cabela's

On May 21st we headed to Lehi to hit up Cabela's. Rob had some gift certificates to use and we knew Aiden would be into the scenery. It's a pretty big place. In one section that have a robotic man that moves and talks about the history of the area. Aiden was sure that it was his Grandpa Darrell. We had to explain to him that the man wasn't real. He still thinks it was his grandpa. We also caught up on some shopping. So nice to back in a city, with all the good stores.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Aiden made me a card and a bouquet of cookie and candy flowers. He was quite impressed with himself. Rob let me have free reign at a Lia Sophia jewelry party with my girlfriends, which resulted in 3 new necklaces. We went over to Kemmerer on Saturday to drop off gifts for Grandma Yorgi, Grandma Janie, and Grandma Leslie. Aiden picked out a really special gift for Grandma Yorgi. It was an ugly doll from Hastings, and not just in my opinion. That is what they are called "Ugly Dolls". They are funny looking little things. His reason for wanting her to have one is because she doesn't have anyone to snuggle with at night. He picked out one with pink on one side and blue on the other side. He told her that the blue side was him and the pink side was her, and that they would always be hugging. She laughed of course.

Hanging Out

On May 3rd, the Archibald crew came over to hang out for a little bit. Funny how some little squishy snakes and lizards can keep kiddo's entertained for hours. And all the big expensive toys we buy, just sit on the shelf. Aiden always loves when his cousins come over!

The Dog & The Kid

On April 29th Tava was being such a spaz that Aiden decided he needed to meditate for some peace of mind. He just recently started this practice on his own. We have no idea where he picked it up from. He is quiet and still though, so who is going to argue?
